What is a subscription based license?

A Subscription provides you a 12 month window of usage on a particular program wherein any new releases of your product are sent to you automatically (including Code updates). This service includes a premium support policy and gives you a preferred customer status (for the subscribed product only).

What happens to the program at the end of the subscription?

The program will notify you as you near the end of your subscription. If you re-subscribe, there will be no interruption of your service. Should you choose not to continue your subscription; the program will operate in demo mode. Demo mode will allow you to open existing work but you will not be able to save, print, edit, or create anything additional within the program.

Why should I buy a subscription license?

There are many benefits to owning a subscription license over a single seat license. The initial capital expenditure is lower. The entire cost of this license type can be written off just as you would a lease, even if you have already taken advantage of your full technology credit for the year. You also don’t have to worry about updating to the current version as they will be sent automatically. CEI is treating this licensing option as a premium license and adds the following features:

1. All support inquiries for the subscribed program will be given top priority. Your requests are moved to the front of the line - each and every time.
2. All feature requests for the subscribed program will be given top priority. Your suggestions will receive double the weight of a current suggestion (as factored by our market research).
3. Top priority for contact with our engineering department for the subscribed program. Bypass all engineering level support cases for non-subscription licenses and jump to the head of the line.
4. Free 1 hour introductory training on the subscribed program. We will offer these trainings once a month to give you a head start on your new program.
5. First to receive latest versions of the subscribed program. Be among the first to receive the latest version and no longer worry about being current and up to Code in your software.
6. Access to all Computer Engineering software betas. Try out the latest versions of our software before anyone else and have a chance to offer your input on their direction.
7. Attendee Priority on limited training. If we offer a training class with a limited availability, customers with subscription licensing will receive first notification as well as have a reserved number of seats.
